Proof Pizza: Trim Detail

It was fun to work with a local business to help them realize their dream of finishing a new space while retaining the historic authenticity of the building they will be in. For this we helped their owner realize his dream of a floating crown detail while still meeting the budget requirements.

One of the challenges and successes of working in this old historic space was to take a building, that has settled over the years/clearly out of level, and create a clean level line that surrounds the dinning space. This line provided a space for drywall/plaster to finish to create a beautiful up-lit space. This building was severely out of level, the walls were not flat at all so we used out laser level to find the lowest point allowed for our finish detail and then brought everything else up to match.

Sometimes these types of projects are fun but miss a little bit of that “end of project satisfaction” of seeing everything come together. Luckily the owner was nice enough to share with us the photos of the final product after drywall and painting. It looks gorgeous over there.
