Basement Frame and Finish
Finished drywall and window trim
This little basement frame and finish turned out really great even with a foundation wall repair in the process.
This client needed a basement wall built to hide updated plumbing and provide space for a stacked washer/dryer. This proved to be more of a process than a simple frame and finish due to a foundation leak that was discovered during the process. We removed old drywall, demoed the crumbling concrete and did a sealing patch to keep water out even during the heaviest of rains.
Once all that was complete we continued with business as usual with a custom frame that hid the plumbing but lined up with the window box allowing for a clean finish trim work. This process required a lot of planning ahead regarding material thickness and balance between what was possible given the clearance from the pipe to window and how we want the final finish trim to look.
Framing
This customer wanted to do their own vinyl flooring so I finished the wall and waited for them to get the floor in before I could install the precut baseboard. I am excited to update this post with. the final product.
This job is a great example of how we are able to be flexible with job completion timelines in order to meet the clients budgetary needs. There are always options to reduce cost and we work hard to present all options to each client so they can make their own decision accordingly.
